New Law To Improve Ambulance Care
(Undated) -- Governor Pat Quinn has signed new laws that are aimed at improving emergency response in rural areas. The changes just fine-tune current laws, but should bring faster and more thorough emergency medical treatment to rural residents says State Representative Don Moffit of Gilson. One law lets firefighters provide more medical care, and was proposed by the Joy Fire Department. The second law changes the way rural ambulance services are classified, to let those responders also provide more treatment options.
