(Springfield, IL) -- Governor Quinn is planning to name the Illinois State Museum Building in Springfield after a late U.S. Senator Alan Dixon. He is working with state lawmakers to make that happen. During Dixon's political career, he was a state rep, state senator, Illinois Treasurer, Secretary of State and U.S. Senator. Once the resolution passes the building will be named the Alan J. Dixon Building of the Illinois State Museum.
