Football Season Brings Threat Of Concussions

(Undated) -- Football season is kicking off, and parents need to be on the lookout for their children suffering from concussions. Doctor Rick Figler says there are subtle signs that parents need to educate themselves on. One sign to look out for is if your child asks to leave a game or practice early and say they want to go to bed. Doctor Figler reminds parents that not all concussions in football are caused by helmet-to-helmet hits. He says it's common for kids to suffer from concussions if they fall back and hit their head on the ground.
