Grant To Help Cancer Research In Peoria
(Peoria, IL) -- A new grant has been awarded to a cancer research program that has a part of the program in Peoria. A $2.5-million grant from the National Cancer Institute was awarded to the Heartland Cancer Research NCI Community Oncology Research Program. Heartland NCORP has three community cancer programs. One of those programs is located in Peoria. The grant is for five years and will annually fund the program. The grant will allow for cancer clinical trials to continue.
