Jacksonville Girl Takes First Grand Championship At Fair
(Springfield, IL) -- A Jacksonville girl is the first to take home a grand championship at this year's state fair. Sarah Brown won the top prize in the Junior Rabbit Show this morning. She credited her victory to hard work, discipline and a little good fortune. Brown says the key to raising a grand champion rabbit is doing a bit of research and learning more about the rabbit. Her Grand Champion Rabbit Meat Pen will be sold at the Sale of Champions next week along with the fair's other prize-winning junior livestock. The auction begins at 5:30 p.m. in the Livestock Center.
