Canton Man Arrested By Canton Police After Receiving Motorist Assist Complaint (Canton, IL) -- A Canton man wanted on a valid warrant was arrested earlier this week in Canton. Police say they responded to a motorist assist complaint Tuesday morning at just before 2. When they arrived at the address located in the 400 block of East Locust Street they found 47-year old Mark D. Fischer at the scene. An investigation found that Fischer was wanted on a 2014 Fulton County Warrant, failure to appear pay order disregarding a stop sign. Fischer was arrested and taken to the Canton Police Department where he was processed for the warrant. He posted a $250 cash bond and a $20 processing fee and was then released. Fischer was given an August Fulton County Court date in Lewistown. Valid Warrant Leads To Canton Mans Arrest (Canton, IL) -- A Canton man who police say was wanted on a warrant was arrested earlier this week. Canton police say they arrested 28-year old Bradley J. Jenkins in the 700 block of East Maiple Street Monday morning at just before noon. Jenkins was wanted on a 2013 Fulton County Warrant, failure to appear for DUI and a petition to revoke bond. Jenkins was arrested and taken to the Canton Police Department to be processed. He was unable to post bond. Jenkins was later taken to the Fulton County Jail in Lewistown. Macomb Cop Arrested (Macomb, IL) -- A Macomb police officer has been released on bond after he was accused of using an Illinois Link Card that didn't belong to him. McDonough County prosecutors say 35-year-old Bill Kennedy also allegedly wrote a check to himself from the cardholder's account. The complaint against the cop was made about a month ago, before Macomb Police investigated internally and Illinois State Police conducted another probe. Kennedy is charged with forgery and state benefit fraud.
