Three Canton Residents Charged After Monday Traffic Stop (Canton, IL) -- Three people were arrested earlier this week after a traffic stop in Canton. Police say they made the stop in the 400 block of East Elm Street Monday afternoon at just before 4:45. Police identified the driver as 31-year old Robert Davis of Canton. Two passengers in the vehicle were identified as 38-year old Rebecca Horner and 21-year old Brittany Cook, both of Canton. Cook was found to be wanted on a 2011 Fulton County Warrant, failure to appear pay order for disorderly conduct, Davis was arrested for having a suspended driver's license and Horner ws found to be in possession of pot. She was arrested on two charges, unlawful possession of cannabis and unlawful possession of cannabis with intent to deliver over 2.5 grams but under 10 grams. Davis was given a notice to appear at the scene and released at the scene with a pending Fulton County Court date. Cook was turned over to Fulton County Sheriff's deputies who assisted at the scene and taken to the Fulton County Jail in Lewistown. Horner was taken to the Canton Police Department to be processed. She was later taken to the Fulton County Jail in Lewistown. Disturbance At Canton Apartment Complex Results In Arrest Of Canton Woman (Canton, IL) -- A Canton woman is facing charges after Canton police were dispatched to an apartment complex on East Cypress Street in Canton twice in one day earlier this week. Police say they were dispatched to the Country Club Estates Apartment complex for a second time Tuesday night at about 11:15 on the report of a disturbance. Police say that they found 20-year old Kaleigh Pokorny screaming at 2 or three individuals at the complex. Authorities arrested her on a state charge of disorderly conduct. She was taken to the Canton Police Department to be processed. Pokorny was given a notice to appear and then released. She has a September Fulton County Court date in Lewistown. Wednesday Night Peoria Shooting Suspect In Custody (Peoria, IL) -- Authorities in the River City have a man in custody in connection with a shooting that took place on the south side of Peoria earlier this week. Police took 21-year old Javon M. Walker into custody Thursday night. Authorities say he was wanted in connection with the shooting that happened Wednesday night on Griswold at Griswold Liquors. One man was shot in the neck according to police. The victim’s wounds were considered non-life threatening and was taken to OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria for treatment. Woman Pleads Innocent To Locking Child In Basement (Quincy, IL) -- A Quincy woman accused of locking her five-year-old son in her basement says she's innocent. "WGEM-TV" reports that 26-year-old Tricia Franklin pleaded not guilty on Wednesday to a charge of unlawful restraint. On April 20th, Quincy cops found her child home alone and secured in the basement. Franklin is expected to appear in a jury trial on September 8th.
