Illinois Towns And Cities Filling Up Landfill Space

(Springfield, IL) -- The state of Illinois is slowly but steadily running out of space to stash its trash. The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency's annual report says the state's municipal landfills have a combined life expectancy of 21 years. The IEPA says last year, 42 landfills took in more than 45-million-cubic yards of waste.
