Weekend Fire In Peoria Causes Damage To Apartment Complex
(Peoria, IL) -- A weekend fire in Peoria caused extensive damage to an apartment building. The Peoria Fire Department was dispatched to 2631 North Hanssler Court Saturday night at about 6:30. As a result of the fire, several residents of the apartment building that was eight units were displaced. When firefighters arrived at the scene, one upstairs apartment bedroom was fully engulfed in flames. Everyone made it out of the apartment building. It took firefighters several minutes to put out the flames. The American Red Cross assisted those who were displaced in finding housing. The amount of damage that occurred to the apartment complex was estimated at around $32,000.
