Concealed Carry Applicants Can Apply By Phone

(Springfield, IL) -- People can now apply for a concealed carry permit over the phone. The State Police have launched a new hotline that allows applicants from west central Illinois or any other part of the state to call in with their address history for the past ten years, their driver's license or state ID information, FOID card information, and details that prove they've taken the required training course. That means they'll need to have their training instructor's name and trainer ID number. To apply online, call 217-782-7980.
