CityLink Says Changes Will Be Taking Place With Bus Routes In Pekin

(Pekin, IL) -- CityLink has proposed making several changes to its Pekin area bus routes. Officials say that they won't be making any cuts to any routes, but say the plans do include avoiding certain streets that tend to slow down the buses. The two routes in Pekin should last about an hour according to CityLink officials, but they have been taking more than that. CityLink officials say that since 2009, ridership in Pekin has increased about 2 and 1/2 times. CityLink officials say the biggest complaint they hear from riders in Pekin is they are upset because the buses don't make the connections on time.
