Rauner, Schock Call Truce

(Springfield, IL) -- Two high-profile Republicans are calling a truce in an effort to oust Governor Quinn in November. Peoria area Congressman Aaron Schock of the 18th Congressional District in Illinois and gubernatorial candidate Bruce Rauner have been spotted together recently. The two have been at odds over an attack ad aimed at keeping Schock from making a bid for the state's top job. Schock's people believed Rauner was behind the ad, but he denies any involvement with it. It was part of the reason Schock backed a different Republican in the primary earlier this year, but he and Rauner have apparently met to smooth things over and move forward.
