Crop Report For Illinois Released

(Undated) -- It was a warm, wet week for Illinois crops. Thanks to recent rains, statewide topsoil moisture increased and now stands at 5 -percent short, 77-percent adequate and 18-perecent surplus. Illinois Crop Statistician Mark Schleusener says farmers did manage to get wheat harvest in Illinois underway. Ninety-six--percent soybeans have been planted, with 93 percent emerged. 73 percent of the soybean crop and 78 percent of corn rated in good to excellent condition.
