FEMA Representatives Advise Lightning Safety

(Springfield, IL) -- Federal officials with FEMA want Illinoisans to be safe around severe weather, especially the kind that packs lightning. Sunday began Lightning Safety Awareness Week. They say no place outside is safe during storms in the area. When you first hear thunder, look for indoor shelter right away. FEMA also advises anyone to not use electrical devices and plumbing, like taking a bath.
