Roskam Prepares For Today's House Whip Vote
(Washington, D.C.) -- Illinois Congressman Peter Roskam is pushing hard for the House whip position in Congress. The Republican lawmaker from Wheaton will face a vote this afternoon that could move him from the number four GOP leader in the House to number three. Roskam is competing against Representatives Steve Scalise of Louisiana and Marlin Stutzman of Indiana. The shake-up in leadership was caused by last week's upset loss of House Majority Leader Eric Cantor during Virginia's primary.
