Illinois High Court Suspends Attorney Over Alleged Affair
(Springfield, IL) -- The Illinois Supreme Court has suspended a lawyer from practicing law after allegedly having an affair with one of his clients. Attorney Robert Bless confessed that he was having an intimate relationship with a woman he was representing in a lawsuit involving the death of her husband. He also is accused of taking over 200-thousand dollars in loans from the woman for an office in Palatine and a BMW. The Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission wants Bless to be suspended for three years.
