Study: Nearly One In Eight Children Abused

(Undated) -- Nearly one out of eight American children suffer some form of abuse by the time they're 18. The numbers are even worse for minorities. Researchers at Yale University say twenty percent of African Americans are abused as children. The analysis is based on data that was collected between 2004 and 2011. During that time period, five and a half million American children were either physically or emotionally abused.
