Teacher Accused Of Long-Term Sexual Relationship With Student (Peoria, IL) -- A Peoria public school teacher is under arrest for allegedly having a sexual relationship with a student that lasted over five years. Maury Beelman was the band teacher at Roosevelt Magnet School and the victim was an eighth-grader when the relationship allegedly began. Police say Beelman and the student, now out of high school, both confirmed that the relationship went on. Police Still Seeks Peorians Help In Solving Murder (Peoria, IL) -- Peoria Police are still looking for clues linked to the murder of a local woman who went missing. The body of Terri Anderson was found over the weekend near Galena Road. There is evidence that she was strangled. Cops will continue to try to locate surveillance video in the area, as well as interview possible eyewitnesses. Soccer Coach Dead After Child Porn Charges Filed Against Him (Channahon, IL) -- A soccer coach who allegedly planned to hand out child porn and have sex kids in Channahon is dead. Suresh Manjanath jumped off a building and killed himself near Queens, New York on Sunday, less than two days after he'd been released from jail in Illinois. Manjanath had allegedly been trading child porn in an online chat room and planned to meet up with who he thought was the mother of two young kids. Turns out he'd been chatting with an undercover investigator. He was booked into the Will County jail last week on four separate felony charges but was released on Friday.
