Legislation Passed To Continue 9-1-1 Call Center Funding

(Undated) -- The Illinois House of Representatives passed legislation last week that is crucial to continued funding for 9-1-1 call centers in Illinois. State Representative Don Moffitt of Gilson says that funding will continue and money will be returned to local call centers. Moffitt went on to say that counties who have a population under 100,000 could get some additional funding if needed. The current act would sunset in July of this year and last Friday's vote extends the act for another year.
