Cuba Schools Recognizes Middle School FFA Students

(Cuba, IL) -- Students at Cuba Middle School were recognized for excelling in Middle School Agriculture classes recently. The eighth grade students recognized were Shawn Howarter and Avonley Strait as Agriculture Academic Achievers during the promotion ceremonies. Also, Strait and Lake Luthy were recognized for their Middle School Creed Speaking accomplishments. Howarter, Strait, Wyatt Lane, Madison Myers and Chase Waugthel were recognized for their Livestock accomplishments. Newly elected Cuba FFA Chapter President, Quentin Whitehouse said that he was excited to see the enthusiasm that the young award winners will be bringing to the high school classroom next year. FFA is an organization that promotes Premier Leadership, Career Development and Personal Growth. The students received the Discovery FFA Degree as well. The Discovery degree is the first of five degrees that a member can earn in the FFA.
