American Red Cross Holding Blood Drives In Fulton County
(Undated) -- The American Red Cross is encouraging eligible blood donors to make and keep donation appointments to maintain the summer blood supply and help prevent a shortage. Donors of all blood types are currently needed, especially those with Type O negative, B negative and A negative. A couple of blood drives are taking place in Fulton County later this month. They are both on June 23rd. One is at the Vermont Christian Church located at 100 West 3rd Street in Vermont. It will be from 1:30 until 6 p.m. The other is at the Fulton County Farm Bureau located on the north end of Lewistown. The blood driver at the Fulton County Farm Bureau is from 2 until 7 p.m. To donate blood simply call 1-800 - RED CROSS or visit www.redcrossblood.org. A blood donor card or driver's license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 years old or 16 with parental consent, weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. High School students and other donors 18 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements.
