(Springfield, IL) -- There's some agreement on the state's budget for next year. State reps passed a 35-billion-dollar spending plan yesterday. It essentially holds spending flat across the board but includes a slight increase for education and a 92-million-dollar cut to the DOC. The budget isn't headed to the Senate yet because House Speaker Michael Madigan pulled a procedural move to keep it in the House for now.
