PetSmart No Longer Selling Treats From China

(Undated) -- PetSmart is joining rival Petco in no longer selling dog and cat treats made in China. A company spokeswoman says it's because of ongoing fears the treats are making animals sick. She said PetSmart will replace the treats with something similar by next March. The U.S. FDA says it hasn't been able to prove the Chinese-made treats are making pets sick. However, it's received almost five-thousand reports of animals getting sick after eating them. PetSmart has stores in both East Peoria and Peoria.
