Beef Deals For Memorial Day

(Undated) -- Beef prices are on the rise but Reid Blossom with the Illinois Beef Association says people can expect to pay less for steaks and ground beef for Memorial Day weekend. Blossom says the drought from a few years back explains why prices for beef have gone up by 15-cents-a-pound. He says there's a slower turnover for cattle to be placed on the marketplace which makes it hard to keep up with the demands. But, prices will head downward once more cattle becomes available.
