Peoria Police Chief Resigns: Accepts New Position with CAT
(Peoria, IL) -- The Chief of Police in Peoria has announced that he is leaving the department. Police Chief Steve Settingsgaar turned in his resignation to officials in Peoria on Monday. Althought he won't be the chief of police, Settingsgaard is staying in Peoria. He will be the new Head of North American Security for Caterpillar and will be based in Peoria. Settingsgaard has been the Peoria Police Chief for nine years. His last day on the job as police chief will be June 15th. He will then start his new position with CAT on June 16th.
