Hearing For Former Trooper Matt Mitchell Cancelled

(Munt Vernon, IL) -- The former state trooper who's looking to get his driver's license back after killing two girls will have to wait. Matt Mitchell was supposed to go before a review board for the fifth time to plead his case yesterday, but the hearing was cancelled. He's been without a license for several years. It was taken away after the 2007 crash that killed Jessica and Kelli Uhl. He'd been driving more than 120-miles-an-hour while using his cell phone and computer just before the crash. He pleaded guilty to reckless homicide and served more than two-years on probation. He says he needs his license back so he can take care of his family.
