Cuba Will Again Have Farmer's Market This Year
(Cuba, IL) -- The city of Cuba will once again be hosting a Farmer's Market on the south side of the Cuba Square each Wednesday beginning on June 1st. Vendors wanting to sign up or requesting city rules should contact the City Clerk, Kathy Demler by calling 1-309-785-5093 or you can e-mail the City of Cuba at cityofcuba@yahoo.com. Dates for the Cuba Farmer's Market have been set for every Wednesday from the beginning of June through October. In partnership with the "Buy Illinois Fruit and Vegetable Challenge" the city plans to highligh the following fresh products: the week of May 26th and June 2nd, strawberries and blueberries; the weeks of June 23rd and June 30th, sweet corn; and ;the weeks of July 14th and July 21st, watermelon and peaches. The Cuba Farmer's Market will be open from 7 a.m. until noon on the Wednesday's that it is being held.
