Canton City And Rural Postal Workers Supports St. Mary's Food Pantry
(Canton, IL) -- Thanks to the nationwide effort that the Canton city and rural postal workers joined in on, the St. Mary's Food Pantry received a large amount of food this past weekend. On May 10th, Canton city and rural postal workers collected 1700 pounds of food to give to the St. Mary's Food Pantry for hungry people. Canton postal workers sorted boxes of food for the pantry volunteers to pick up and hold for distribution. The pantry also wanted to thank Jim Carter of Monical's Pizza for his continued support of the pantry and also Dick Casper of Gorsuch-Hensley Real Estate and Auction for his support of St. Mary's Food Pantry. The St. Mary's Food Pantry is currently in their 29th year of operation located on 2nd Avenue behind the St. Mary's Catholic Church with improved facilities. The St. Mary's Food Pantry is open every Friday, 52 weeks of the year from 8:30 until 10:30 in the morning.
