May Is Asthma Awareness Month

(Undated) -- Of the 26-million Americans suffering with asthma nearly seven million are children. Tracey Mitchell, a registered respiratory therapist, with the EPA says Asthma Awareness Month is the right time to remind parents that when it comes to their children's asthma they need to be proactive not reactive. Mitchell says that indoor air quality is just as important as outdoor air quality. Be sure to keep windows closed during ozone action days and keep smokers out of the house at all times.
