SRC Graduation Taking Place Saturday

(Canton, IL) -- Spoon River College will be holding its Commencement Exercises on Saturday. Graduation will take place once again at Cuba Middle-Senior High School. This year's Commencement address is being given by State Representative Norine Hammond. Hammond represents the 93rd District in the Illinois House of Representatives. The district encompasses all or part of 8 counties that include Knox, Fulton, Warren, McDonough, Schuyler, Cass, Brown and Mason Counties. She was appointed in December of 2010 to fill the vacancy of the late Representative Rich Myers. She had been a Legislative Aide to Representative Myers since 1997. Graduation for SRC will begin at 1 p.m. tomorrow.
