Elmwood Man Charged In Regard To Hy-Vee Incident (Canton, IL) -- An Elmwood man is facing charges after being arrested at Hy-Vee last month. Canton police say they were dispatched to Hy-Vee on Saturday, April 26th in regard to a criminal trespass complaint. Authorities say that they suspect was causing a problem by allegedly touching several male employee's inappropriately. He was then told by management to leave the store but he refused. Police identified the suspect as 78-year old Raymond E. Look. Look was arrested and taken to the Canton Police Department where he was processed. Look refused to post bond and was later taken to the Fulton County Jail in Lewistown. Traffic Stop Leads To Ellisville Woman’s Arrest (Canton, IL) -- An Ellisville woman was arrested following a traffic stop in Canton last week. Police say they stopped the vehicle after observing a vehicle that was northbound in the 800 block of North Main Street that had an expired registration sticker last Thursday. After conducting the stop, the driver was identified as 50-year old Melinda S. Miller. Police say they also spotted a plastic cup containing an alcoholic beverage inside it inside the vehicle. Authorities say that Miller was also unable to provide proof of insurance. Miller was cited for driving an uninsured motor vehicle and illegal transportation of alcohol by a driver. She was also given a verbal warning for the expired registration. Miller was released at the scene with a notice to appear and given a June Fulton County Court date in Lewistown. Mapleton Woman Arrested After Incident At Casey's (Canton, IL) -- A Mapleton woman was cited after Canton police were dispatched to Casey's located on North 5th Avenue last week. Police say after arriving at the store last Thursday at just before 4:15, the woman identified as 21-year old Julya M. Brandt, was upset because an employee at the store would not sell her cigarettes. Police say that Brandt also got into an argument with the manager of Casey's. Police cited Brandt with a city ordinance violation of disorderly conduct. Police informed Brandt she could pay $100 at the Canton Police Department by May 15th or she could go to court on May 15th to enter a not guilty plea. If she did that, her Fulton County Court date in Lewistown would be in June. Canton Man Arrested On Valid Warrant (Canton, IL) -- A Canton man wanted on a valid warrant was arrested in the 100 block of East Birch Street in Canton last week. Authorities say they responded to 154 East Birch on a domestic complaint. While at the address, police located 32-year old Dusty D. Bull, who was wanted on a 2013 Fulton County Warrant for contempt of court. Bull was arrested and taken to the Canton Police Department where he was processed. He posted a $100 cash bond and a $20 processing fee and was released. Bull was given a June Fulton County Court date in Lewistown. Canton Man Turns Self Into Canton Police On Valid Warrant (Canton, IL) -- A Canton man wanted on a valid warrant turned himself in to police last week. Canton police say that 22-year old Tyler L. Taylor was wanted on a 2013 Fulton County Warrant, failure to appear pay order contempt of court for noises prohibited city ordinance. Taylor was arrested while at the Canton Police Department on Thursday of last week and processed. He posted a $500 cash bond and a $20 processing fee. Taylor was then released and given a June Fulton County Court date in Lewistown. Car Crashes Into Kroger Building In Peoria (Peoria, IL) -- A car struck the side of a building on Lake Street in Peoria over the weekend. Peoria police say that the vehicle crashed into the Kroger building at about 4 yesterday afternoon. The driver of the vehicle was taken to an area hospital to be treated for injuries suffered in the accident. No injuries occurred to any bystanders at the scene. Police in Peoria say that the accident continues to be investigated. South Pekin Fire Sunday Destroys Home (Pekin, IL) -- A South Pekin home was destroyed by a fire over the weekend. Firefighters from South Pekin were dispatched to the home located in the 600 block of Southern Harbberts Street at about 5:45 yesterday morning. Firefighters from the Delavan, Cincinnati and Green Valley Fire Protection Districts joined the South Pekin Fire Department to battle the blaze. It took them about 1 1/2 hours to get the fire under control. Although the fire was contained to mainly the first floor of the home, there was smoke and water damage that was throughout the house. Investigators say that the amount of damage that occurred to the home is unavailable but is believed to be a total loss. Police Investigate Armed Robbery In Urbana (Urbana, IL) -- Urbana Police are looking into a weekend armed robbery. Authorities say early Sunday morning, a 31-year-old man was walking near Main and Maple Streets when he was approached by another man who left from a white four-door sedan. The man who exited the car pointed a gun at the victim and pushed him to the ground, stole his cellphone and got back in the car. The vehicle was last seen moving east on Main Street.
