Poll: Half Those Living In Illinois Would Leave

(Chicago, IL) -- Half the people living in Illinois would pack up and leave the state if they could, and a new poll finds the job climate and the actual climate are the most popular reasons. A new Gallup poll finds a higher percentage of Illinoisans, 50-percent, would relocate than residents of any other state. The poll of 600 people shows 26-percent would move for work or business reasons, while 17-percent cited weather and 15-percent said "quality of life." Nineteen percent of those polled in Illinois say they plan to move in the next 12-months, more than any other state but Nevada.
