Quinn Anti-Violence Program Under Scrutiny Again
(Springfield, IL) -- There's plenty of reaction to another potential scandal in the Illinois governor's office. The Cook County State's Attorney has subpoenaed records for Governor Quinn's anti-violence program to see if any money was mismanaged. Andrew Wellhouse with the Illinois Republican Party says voters are tired of seeing this type of scandal in Illinois. The probe comes after the state's auditor general took a fine tooth comb to the program and found that Quinn's administration didn't properly monitor how the money was being spent. The auditor general has turned his findings over to the U.S. Attorney for further review.
