Budget Approved For East Peoria

(East Peoria, IL) -- A new budget is in place for the city of East Peoria. It is now at 50-million dollars. The spending plan includes an increase in salaries and pensions for city staff. The budget also lowers street repairs to about one million dollars. The city was dealing with a budget shortfall of nearly one-point-five million dollars, thanks to a reduction in revenue from the Par-A-Dice Casino.
