Rauner Says Illinois Budget Worse Off Than Expected

(Springfield, IL)  --  Illinois' financial situation is worse off than Governor-Elect Bruce Rauner initially thought.  He says his team has uncovered nearly one-and-a-half-billion dollars in extra debt.  It includes Medicaid and group insurance costs, plus Rauner says the state has to start paying back the money it borrowed from special accounts soon.  He says he's taking a hard look at the numbers and is focused on finding a solution to get the state's finances back on track.
