(Undated) -- November is National Alzheimer's Disease Awareness Month. Groups all over are trying to raise awareness of the disease. Dr. Jessica Langbaum [[LANG-bomb]] says Alzheimer's Disease impacts the ability of people to care for themselves. Dr. Langbaum says Alzheimer's Disease slowly starts to develop in the brain about ten to 20 years before symptoms begin to emerge. Researchers have a new focus on prevention and Banner Alzheimer's Institute is conducting experimental studies using medications they hope will intervene and prevent memory and thinking problems from emerging. The Alzheimer's Prevention Registry is an online community for people wanting to combat the disease. You can learn more by logging onto www.endALZnow.org.
