Davenport Approves Coyote Hunting On Private Land

(Davenport, IA) -- People in Davenport can now kill coyotes found on their property. "The Quad City Times" reports Alderman approved an ordinance on Wednesday that allows people living on ten acres of land inside the Davenport city limits to hunt coyotes. The Iowa Department of Natural Resources told city officials that there are some limitations including discharging a firearm within two-hundred yards of an occupied structure. The IDNR defines that type of structure as a residence.
