Pumpkin Festival A Big Success
(Morton, IL) -- The 48th year of the Morton Pumpkin Festival took place over the weekend. Officials with the Morton Chamber of Commerce are calling this year’s festival a big success. Huge crowds were on hand for the event. Officials say that large sums of donuts, pork chop sandwiches and pumpkin pies were sold during the festival. Officials say that about $100,000 is pumped into the Morton community because of the Morton Pumpkin Festival. The festival started in 1967.
