Jacksonville Mayor Proposes Police Body Cameras

(Jacksonville, IL)  --  Jacksonville Mayor Andy Ezard has plans to request the City Council to approve body cameras for the police force.  Police Chief Tony Grootens says he's in favor of the devices that record audio and video.  But he believes the city should hold off before implementing the use of the cameras.  Grootens expects proposed legislation in support of body cams to come up in the Illinois legislative fall session.
