Property Taxes Due By End Of Today
(Lewistown, IL) -- Futlon County Taxpayers are being reminded that today is the last day that the second installmen of taxes can be paid. Timely tax payments must be made in the office of the Collector at the Fulton County Courthouse before 4 p.m., in the drop box by 2 p.m. or have a postmark of September 2nd. Taxes may also be made at most banks in Fulton County until their normal closing time today. Payments may also be made with most major credit cards via internet E-Pay program at the www.illinoisepay.com Website or E-Pay IVR at 1-877-690-3729. Please use JCODE 7012. There will be a user fee assessed in order to pay with your credit card. You will be given the fee amount prior to completing the payment process. After September 5th, payments will only be accepted in the Treasurer's office or by mail. State Statutes mandate that late payments after the September 2nd due date shall incur a late penalty of 1 1/2 percent per month or portion thereof. The Fulton County annual delinquent real estate and mobile home tax sale will be held on October 17th at 9 a.m. All payments must be received in the Treasurer's office no later than October 16gth to avoid sale of taxes.
