Peoria Group Upset By Brown Shooting Hold Protest
(Peoria, IL) -- An Illinois group is trying to bring awareness to social injustice. The group, Illinois People's Action, staged a demonstration in downtown Peoria on Tuesday in the wake of the Michael Brown shooting in Ferguson, Missouri. The crowd of about 25 people protested outside a government building that holds federal prosecutors. IPA had a list of demands for U.S. Attorney Eric Holder including a swift investigation of the deadly police shooting of the 18-year-old teen in Ferguson and holding police accountable for their actions against protestors.
