Quincy Civic Center Authority Places Bid To Purchase Gems

(Quincy, IL) -- The Quincy Civic Center Authority says it has a lease of sale proposal for the Quincy Gems baseball team. Two board members are planning on meeting with potential buyers. There is no word on what the asking price was or if the potential buyer is local, but board members say their goal is to keep the Gems in Quincy. The board has said the potential buyers have a desire to keep the Gems in Quincy for an indefinite period of time.
