SRC and The Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity Teaming Up With Free Technology Classes For Those Over 50

(Lewistown, IL)  --  Thanks to the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity's Elminate the Digital Divide Program, Spoon River College is able to offer our technology classes at no charge to those ages 50 and over. Class sizes are small, and taught at an unhurried pace.  Classes being offered include Computer Skills For the Novice, Finding Information On the Internet and Emailing Made Easy.  Students can complete all three classes and receive a certificate of completion. The next series of classes begins on Friday, August 22nd in Canton and Havana.  Classes will be on the following Fridays, August 22nd, 29th and September 5th.  Classes will meet from 9 a.m. until noon at the Canton SRC Community Outreach Center or from 1 until 4 p.m. at the SRC Havana Center.
