Ruey Participating In Queen Of Friendship Pageant

(Canton, IL) -- A week from tomorrow night there will be a new Queen of Friendship. Reigning Queen Shayla Burkhead of Cuba will give up her crown. Among the 12 contestants hoping to be crowned the new Queen of Friendship is Mattie Ruey. Ruey says she has always looked up to those who participated in the pageant. Ruey is the daughter of Russell and Stephanie Ruey. She will be a senior this fall at Canton High School. The pageant will take place in the auditorium at Canton High School on Saturday, August 9th.
