SRC Recognized By ICCTA

(Canton, IL) -- One of the Board Members at Spoon River College was recently recognized by the Illinois Community College Trustees Association. Trustee Dave Maguire earned his seventh Trustee Education Award from the ICCTA. The award is granted to individuals who have participated in 15 or more ICCTA-sponsored continuing education seminars. Maguire's tenure on the SRC Board of Trustee's began in 1993. During that time he has served as chairman, vice chairman and secretary of the board, plus served on numerous committees and special task forces on the local, state and national level addressing issues facing community colleges and the future of education.
