(Undated) -- Governor Pat Quinn says the state will expand it's "Employ Illinois" job training initiative and put more people to work in fields like construction and engineering. Employ Illinois helps those looking for work get into a construction industry appreiceship program, then pays contracts to hire them. Governor Quinn says it's been a great success so far. Previously the state paid contractors $10 an hour for each worker, but that will now be increassed to 15 bucks an hour. Governor Quinn says there are many major projects about to get underway where these workers will be needed.
