Miller Park Zoo Tiger Dies Of Cancer

(Bloomington, IL) -- Rojo the tiger is gone from the Miller Park Zoo in Bloomington, but he won't be forgotten and may in fact live on. Rojo died of cancer at age 15, but his testicles were sent to another zoo in the hope his sperm could be extracted and used for artificial insemination. Patrons of Miller Park Zoo may not be without a tiger for long, though. Zoo officials say they've contacted a breeding program and have learned of another tiger they might be able to acquire by sometime this fall.
