(Undated) -- Preventing the deaths of small children in hot cars requires vigilance. Dr. Purva Grover is an emergency-room doctor. She says about half of these deaths happen accidentally to loving parents or caregivers that just forget. Grover says the temperature inside a car can reach 125 degrees in minutes. She suggests leaving an important item on the backseat. That way, people will see their child when they open the back door.
