Illinois Companies Plan Seventeen-Hundred Layoffs

(Springfield, IL) -- According to documents that companies are required to file with the state, employers will lay off nearly 17-hundred workers in the coming months. That's the highest number listed in any of the monthly reports since December. The biggest cuts come from Woodstock commercial printer QuadGraphics, which plans to release 537 workers because of a restructuring, and McCook magazine distributor Source Interlink, which is laying off 244 workers.
