Inmate Charged For Trying To Get Phone Number

(Decatur, IL) -- An inmate in the Macon County Jail has been charged with bribery after he allegedly tried to buy personal information about a female correctional employee. The Macon County Sheriff's Office says the inmate was being held on federal charges. He approached a correctional officer in an attempt to buy the phone number and address of the female correctional officer. The inmate is denying the bribery attempt.
